                        Copper Ionization (Chlorine Alternative)
                                                                                                                                             Copper ionization is also referred to as a chlorine free or chemical free technology.  It has many advantages over salt water chlorinators.  Unlike salt water pools, ionization is safe to use on any pool surface (guanite, pebble tech, vinyl, and fiberglass).  Since this chlorine free technology does not use oxidation, it will increase the life of any pool surface.

Copper ionization can also be used to treat water in private wells for both households and livestock applications.  Unlike U/V or ozone, copper ions have a long lasting residual of a sanitizer.

Numerous studies have raised awareness about the toxicity of chlorine and other chemicals in chlorinated pools.  These studies have created a demand for nonchlorinated swimming pools for the health conscious.  Baquacil, which uses peroxide, is an expensive and frustrating alternative for a nonchlorinated pool.  Copper ionization is easy to maintain, and with a simple to understand instruction and toll free support, you will never be frustrated again.

Salt water pools are still chlorinated pools which do require shock treatments, stabilizer (cyanuric acid), and algaecides.  Also known as Salt water generators (SWG), these systems are expensive and the SWG electrodes have to be replaced frequently making it more expensive to operate than a traditionally chlorinated pool.  Salt water pools have water with high dissolved solids (salts) that can kill grass and plants around you swimming pool.  Other complaints are that the salts become airborne and can corrode metal furniture, fences, window screens, sheds, and lawn equipment.  For this reason, salt water pools are losing popularity.
